'Day of Healing and Reconciliation' to Be Broadcast on Facebook Sunday, Nov. 13

Public Invited to Watch Broadcast, Hear Speaker at First Baptist Church, Langhorne

LANGHORNE -- The Peace Center (TPC) and the Interfaith Community of Lower Bucks (ICLB) are co-sponsoring a very serious event the Sunday after the presidential election, according to Barbara Simmons, executive director of TPC.

“Given the real danger of festering anger and even potential violence after the election, this is an important event to help unify us,” she said.

According to Simmons, a number of people have come together to create a “Day of Healing and Reconciliation” with potentially hundreds of places of worship across the country participating and a main-stage Facebook Live broadcast event from Unity of Washington, DC, featuring music, political leaders, cultural leaders, prayer, and more -- all in service to coming back together as one America after the bitter presidential election.

Natalie Kaye, ICLB chairperson, said, “We want to support harmony in our community, nation and world. We believe this program will be very helpful in bringing healing and rebuilding our unity. We urge all to come watch it in the community, if at all possible."

Simmons invites everyone to participate. “Let's all gather and create the space for prayer, discussion and unity,” she said.
