Denise Brooks Retains Seat On School Board After Election Tie

The official recount for the Council Rock Region 3 school board seat is complete and Denise Brooks will remain as the representative. Region 3 includes Northampton Voting Districts #1, #11, and #15.

An election certificate was issued and Brooks has resumed her seat on the board having taken the oath of office to begin her new four-year term, the district announced this week.

She is planning to participate in the regularly-scheduled school board meeting Thursday. See the meeting agenda here.

Brooks faced Robert Hickey in the November school board election. After the tie, a marble draw tie breaking event was held at the Bucks County Board of Elections Office in Doylestown.
