UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — A dive team searched the Delaware River in connection with an investigation into a death in Upper Makefield, police have confirmed.

Upper Makefield Police confirmed a dive team is assisting in the investigation connected to a death at a River Road residence.

But what exactly they're looking for is not clear. Details about the incident are still sketchy: the cause of death has not yet been revealed and police have not released the name or age of the victim. Police were unable to say if the deceased appeared to be injured when law enforcement arrived on the scene.

According to police, a person was found unresponsive inside a River Road residence just after 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Someone called 911, and when officers arrived to the 1000 block of the road, they found the deceased person.

On Wednesday night, police said the incident does "not appear to be a random act." They asked for the community's patience as they proceed with the investigation.

"Until certain information has been verified, officials are not commenting on the exact nature of the investigation or parties involved," Upper Makefield Police said.

Upper Makefield Police, in cooperation with the Bucks County Detectives, are "pursuing numerous leads" in the case, authorities said.
