Domestic Disturbance Leads To Arrest: Newtown Twp. Crime Report
2 taken into custody on active arrest warrants following traffic stops in the township.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between March 3 and 13:
March 7
- At approximately 8:30 p.m., police investigated the report of a disabled auto in the area of North Sycamore Street. Upon speaking with the occupants, it was learned that the passenger was wanted by the Norristown Police Department. The man was taken into custody, processed, and transferred to the custody of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
March 9

- At 12:50 a.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival and investigation, one person was placed under arrest and charged with assault.
March 13
- At 10:20 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Newtown-Langhorne Road on the driver of a Ford Mustang for committing a vehicle code violation. As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Northampton Township Police Department and transferred without incident.
