Driver Involved In Fiery Crash In Wrightstown Suspected Of DUI: Police
The vehicle crashed into a PECO utility pole and took down power lines which ultimately ignited the vehicle on fire.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The driver involved in a fiery one-car crash on July 29 may have been driving under the influence, according to Newtown Township Police.
At approximately 5 p.m. police along with members of the Lingohocken Fire Company and EMS responded to Penns Park Road near the intersection of Second Street Pike (Route 232) for the report of a single-vehicle traffic crash.
The sole vehicle sheered a PECO utility pole and took down power lines which ultimately ignited the vehicle on fire. There were no serious injuries, and the operator of the vehicle was treated on the scene by EMS.

According to police, the operator is suspected of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
