Drugs Seized During Traffic Stop, Driver Charged: Newtown Twp. Police Report
In other reports, police arrested disorderly man at hotel, charged a driver with receiving stolen property, and made assault arrest.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township Police reported the following incidents and arrests between May 29 and June 4, including the arrest of a driver on drug possession and intent to deliver charges.
On May 30 at about 1 a.m., police were dispatched to Homewood Suites for a report of a disorderly man outside the hotel. As a result of an investigation, the man was cited with disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
On May 31 at about 8:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop near Lower Silver Lake Road and the Newtown Bypass after a License Plate Reader alerted police to a stolen license plate. The driver of a GMC pick-up truck was taken into custody and charged with receiving stolen property and traffic violations.

A traffic stop on June 1 at about 4:15 p.m. led to more serious charges. Police report stopping the driver of a Lincoln SUV in the area of Brownsburg Road and Sarah Drive in Wrightstown for committing a vehicle code violation. During an investigation, police discovered and seized suspected narcotics and drug equipment as evidence. The driver was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, intentional possession of a controlled substance, and use-possession of drug paraphernalia.
On June 4 at about 12:45 p.m., police were called to a Wrightstown residence for a reported dispute. Police took a man into custody and charged him with simple assault and harassment.

Later in the day on June 4 at around 6 p.m., police were called to the Lululemon store on South Eagle Road for a report of retail theft. The case remains under investigation.
Later that night, at about 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to Bucks County Community College on Swamp Road for a report of an assault. The incident remains under investigation.
