DUI Arrest, Theft From Vehicle Reported In Newtown Township
Police arrest motorist for DUI, investigate theft from vehicle on Society Place.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Feb. 24 and 29:
February 24
- At approximately 2:23 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevrolet operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Delaware Court. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia were discovered and seized as evidence. The operator was arrested and charges are pending.

- At approximately 9 a.m. police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Society Place for the report of a theft from a vehicle. The victim told police that someone had entered her vehicle overnight and removed her purse. While in the area, another resident came forward and reported that their vehicle had also been entered, however, nothing was stolen.
