DUI Charges Pending Against Three Drivers In Newtown Township
All three arrests were made by Newtown Township Police on the Newtown Bypass.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Three motorists have been arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence.
September 25
- At approximately 12:30 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a Porsche SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Campus Drive and the Newtown Bypass. Upon contact with the operator,the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
- At approximately 1:30 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Sedan operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage.The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
