Earth Day March For Science To Be Held In Bucks County
A local Earth Day march is planned Saturday as a show of solidarity with the March for Science in Washington, D.C.

A local March for Science will be held in Bucks County this Saturday in coordination with a national event at the nation's capital. Doylestown is one of more than 425 communities nationwide hosting a local Earth Day march in solidarity with the March for Science in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of Bucks County residents are expected, organizers say.
"The event offers a unique opportunity to those who are unable to attend larger marches in Washington and Philadelphia or would prefer to support the local movement," organizers said in an event announcement.
The march begins at noon at State and Main streets in Doylestown Borough. There will be opening remarks, followed by a symbolic march to the county courthouse for speeches and a gathering. It is expected to conclude by 2 p.m.

“The March for Science champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human
freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common
good and for political leaders and policymakers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest," according to an event announcement.
Organizers say this will be a family-friendly event that is wheelchair accessible. All are welcome.
