On Tuesday night, the township’s planning commission voted unanimously to recommend granting conditional use approval for the new eatery. The application will now be considered by the board of supervisors, which is expected to grant the conditional use.

Flourish has built a five-star reputation for its made-from-scratch food and baked goods from Eastern Europe including its breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings.

The cafe serves an extensive breakfast menu featuring fresh fruit crepes, potato pancakes, waffles, oatmeal porridge, and syrniki (fried Eastern Slavic curd cheese pancakes).

A sampling of its main courses range from salmon steak, mozzarella stuffed chicken breast and signature rigatoni to Kyiv-style chicken, rabbit stewed and Bronzino steak. The BYOB cafe also offers an extensive selection of appetizers, soups, salads and desserts.

According to Facebook, the cafe was born “when a fabulous florist and an amazing baker joined forces to create a beautifully unique concept of a flower cafe. Come in to enjoy freshly baked goodness with a cup of coffee, surrounded by fragrant florals.”

The restaurant’s customers, including planning commission solicitor Jerry Schenkman, give the restaurant high marks for its food and service.

Schenkman, whose family comes from Eastern Europe, said he gave the restaurant a five-star rating.
