Santarsiero, Warren, Marcell Projected Winners In Newtown Area

Republican Brian Fitzpatrick also projected to win 1st District U.S. Congressional race, according to unofficial results.

NEWTOWN, PA — Incumbent Republican Brian Fitzpatrick of Middletown Township is projected to win re-election in the 1st Congressional District of Pennsylvania, which includes all of Bucks County and a small portion of adjacent Montgomery County.

Fitzpatrick faced a challenge from Democrat Ashley Ehasz of Bensalem.

According to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections, Fitzpatrick collected 169,506 votes while Ehasz won 137,607 votes.

“Once again, our community has spoken with an overwhelming voice in support of unity, collaboration, moderation and bipartisanship," said Fitzpatrick. "I love our community and I will continue to reflect our community’s independent voice of reason in the 118th Congress. Our community is not far-left or far-right, we are centrist and pragmatic.

"I ask all in our community to join us in leading our People’s Movement of bipartisanship and center-forward problem solving, and to fight against the bigotry of hyper-partisanship and extremist ideological purity that is destroying our nation," he continued. "Our People’s Movement is about building bridges at a time when too many are trying to burn them.

"Our People’s Movement is about building consensus in the center and moving forward to save our nation. We must be one community, now more than ever,” said Fitzpatrick.

State Senator 10th District

In the race for state senator in the 10th District, incumbent Democrat Steve Santarsiero of Lower Makefield is projected to win re-election. He was challenged by Republican Matt McCullough of Newtown Township.

According to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections, Santarsiero tallied 76,305 votes while McCullough received 54,335 votes.

State Senator 6th District

In the race for state senator in the 6th District, current State Representative Frank Farry is projected to be the winner. He faced challengers Democrat Ann Marie Mitchell and Libertarian Brandon Bentrim.

According to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections, Farry has 66,586 votes, Mitchell has 56,275 votes and Bentrim has 1,920 votes.

State Representative 31st District

In the race for state representative in the 31st Legislative District, incumbent Democrat Perry Warren is projected to be the winner over Republican challenger Bernie Sauer.

According to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections, Warren has 23,843 votes while Sauer has 15,539 votes.

State Representative 178th District

In the race for state representative in the 178th Legislative District, Council Rock School Board member Kristin Marcell is projected to be the winner over Democrat Ilya Breyman.

According to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections Marcell has 19,888 votes while Breyman has 15,106 votes.

Newtown Township Ambulance Squad Referendum

If the numbers hold, Newtown Township voters have approved a referendum that would give the Newtown Ambulance Squad another half mill in taxes to operate its emergency medical services operation.

According to unofficial results, 6,156 voted in favor of the question while 4,554 voted no.
