Electric Bike Stolen From Upper Makefield Business: Police
Police responded to an alarm just before 5 a.m. on Monday. Upon arrival discovered that the door to the business had been pried open.
UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — An electric bike was stolen in an early morning burglary at a bike store on River Road in Washington Crossing.
Upper Makefield Police responded to Voltage Bikes on Monday, Oct. 2 at 4:47 a.m. for an alarm activation. Upon arrival, they discovered that the front door had been pried open and there was a new electric bike laying in the lot. Police later learned that one bike had been stolen.
According to police, a review of surveillance footage shows a subject whose face was covered. The subject was wearing a backpack, jacket, a hat, and a headlamp.

Further investigation resulted in the subject’s vehicle being identified - a white Volvo XC60. However, police said that vehicle was later determined to be stolen out of Wynnewood, Montgomery County. The Volvo was recovered after it was abandoned in Philadelphia without the stolen bicycle.

"We are still following other investigatory leads," said police, who are asking anyone with information concerning the burglary to contact Det. Moore at 215-968-3020.
