The enforcement wave will focus on school bus violations; the Move Over Law requiring vehicles to move over into an adjacent lane of traffic, when safe to do so, or alternatively to slow down for emergency vehicles; tailgating; and speeding. Motorists exhibiting other unsafe behaviors such as driving too fast for conditions, red light running, or other aggressive actions will also be cited, police said.
The campaign is part of Pennsylvania's Highway Safety Program and is funded by part of PennDOT's investment of federal funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
