Friends Village offers community living rooted in purpose, belonging and choice. Blending Quaker values and active aging, we promote connection and care for one another. Our residents live well, engaged with the wider world and confident they will have support should they need it. Located on two campuses, Friends Village provides independent living and personal care in peaceful settings embedded in residential neighborhoods. Our Paxson Campus is in the heart of Newtown Borough, close to shops, dining and local events. Our Styer Campus, on Lower Dolington Road, boasts raised-bed gardens and walking paths for resident enjoyment. The full calendar of resident-informed programming features lectures, wellness classes, discussion groups and cultural events to promote residents’ intellectual, physical and social well-being. If needed, Friends Village provides our residents with flexible, affordable support in their own apartments through its NeighborCare program. By using our long-tenured and dedicated staff, it is a home care service without the onerous minimum hours or uncertain staffing of agencies. And if care needs increase further, personal care is available in our historic Paxson Hall. What truly sets Friends Village apart is the warm sense of community. While residents remain connected outside of our walls, our small size and intentional approach ensure that each resident is known and know that they genuinely belong – they thrive, make new friends and live well. A shaded greenspace will provide us with plenty of room to breathe and move while harmonizing our energies in community with the earth, the water, the sky, and each other.

The menu will be uniquely crafted, featuring our fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables and other locally-sourced items including meats from Jericho Mountain Beef (sold in our farmstand). Local Bucks County Chef, Joseph Garvey, is renowned for his Farm to Table dining. His team will craft a menu based on the freshest foods available and know how to create a feast sure to please every palate. The meals and accompanying special selections of beverages will be served outdoors, providing guests an unforgettable and unique experience with beautiful views, the sounds of nature and the taste and smell of incredible cuisine being prepared by award-winning culinarians.
As the evening unfolds, the enchanting melodies of live music by The Fermenters Trio will weave through the air, creating an ambiance that is nothing short of magical. Exciting, spectacular, dazzling, breathtaking, exhilarating, spirited, soulful, enchanting, captivating, and intriguing – modest words which describe but by no means capture the essence of Ukrainian folk art, music, song and dance.From the rich color and deep symbolism of the delicate “pysanka” (Ukrainian Easter Egg) to the thunderous, power, rhythm and strength of “HOPAK” – the world’s most exciting ethnic dance, and every brilliant “Kolomiyka” (polka) and soulful folk song in between, experience the UKRAINIAN FOLK FESTIVAL 2026, celebrating the 35th anniversary of our ancestral homeland’s independence.
