“Newtown Welcome Day is a perfect way to support your local businesses. It’s also a great way to discover and rediscover what Newtown has to offer,” said Fred Poritsky of FZP Digital, who is co-chairing the event with Leah Patterson (Playa Bowls Newtown) and Heather DiPrato (Newtown Neighbors and Yardley Living).

“It’s a great time to meet your neighbors, have a nice walk through town, patronize the vendors and check out the many businesses and restaurants we have on the street,” added Poritsky.
At the heart of it, all will be more than 125 vendors who will be setting up shop along Sycamore featuring arts, and crafts and spotlighting Newtown businesses.

Throughout the day, visitors will also find lots of fun activities to do, a banquet of food from local eateries and vendors, and two stages of live, nonstop entertainment.
“We have a lot of musical acts this year - a mix of professional and local talent,” said Poritsky.
Get ready to be blown away as not one, but two stages light up the town with talent, he said.
The Trinity Health/St. Mary Medical Center South Stage, located at 211 North Sycamore Street, will showcase a lineup of acts such as Blair Johnson, BC Discoveries, Avis Wisnia, Jill Salkin, Tony Juliano, and Joe Ferrara.
At the Trinity Health/St. Mary Medical Center North Stage, located at 255 North Sycamore Street, the entertainment extravaganza continues. Experience the infectious energy of Mike & Laura, the foot-stomping rhythms of the Back Porch Jug Band, and witness a powerful demonstration by Action Karate.
