Police in Bucks County are warning about a notorious gang of thieves that target ball fields, day cares, and theaters.

Police in Bucks County are warning residents of a notorious gang of thieves that are known to steal purses and wallets from cars parked at ball fields, day cares, and movie theaters.

The Felony Lane Gang, known to operate in 32 states, has struck in Bucks County, local law enforcement officials say. Now, police are warning women to take their purses with them instead of leaving them behind in the car.

The most recent incident happened at a baseball field in Morrisville, where three people were targeted, sources say. Lisa Ganey of Yardley had her purse stolen, and more than $9,000 taken out of her savings account as a result, she told Action News during a segment Wednesday evening.

Morrisville Borough Police Chief George McClay said the Felony Lane Gang is known to take purses from cars parked at day cares, ball fields, and other places they know women will leave them unattended.
