Firefighters Collecting For Wrightstown Family Devastated By Fire
Firefighters will be available at the station to accept gift card donations for the family on Tuesday evening and on Saturday.

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The Lingohocken Fire Company will be accepting donations of gift cards for a Wrightstown family that suffered a devastating house fire on Thanksgiving Eve.
“As you can imagine this is an immediate life changing event and we have been in touch with the family who could benefit from the following gift cards: Acme, Target, Amazon and Macy’s,” the fire company posted on its Facebook page.
Firefighters will be available to collect donations for the family on Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Station 35 in Wycombe.

Firefighters from six companies responded to the blaze on Ridge Avenue at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Eve. Crews were in service for approximately three hours fighting the fire and then mopping up.
Responding to the fire were Lingohocken, Upper Makefield, Newtown Fire and Emergency Services,
Midway, New Hope Eagle and Northampton. Also at the scene was the Newtown Township Police Department and the Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services.

Neighbors commended the firefighters on their response to the blaze and for lending a hand to help the family in the fire’s aftermath.
“We live next door and are so incredibly thankful for your swift response to help our neighbors,” posted one person. “It was not an easy fire to put out, but all of you worked tirelessly to make sure that it was out, and the surrounding area was safe. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
Another neighbor wrote, “We, too, live in the neighborhood … it was horrific to watch our neighbor’s home engulfed in flames. Kudos to the fire departments for being there and fighting tirelessly to put out the fire. Also for the care and comfort you extended to the family ... and now … this gracious act to collect gift cards for them. How blessed we are to have you protecting our homes. Thank you … thank you!!!”
