Folk Musician Livingston Taylor To Play The Historic Newtown Theatre

NEWTOWN, PA — The historic Newtown Theatre will present “An Evening with Livingston Taylor” on Friday, April 14 at 8 p.m.
Taylor’s career as a professional musician has spanned more than 50 years, encompassing performance, songwriting, and teaching. Some of his hit songs include "Isn't She Lovely," "Baker Street," "I Will Be In Love With You," "On and On," and "I'll Come Running" just to name a few.
Described as “equal parts Mark Twain, college professor, and musical icon,” Taylor maintains a performance schedule of more than 100 shows a year, delighting audiences with his charm and vast repertoire of his 22 albums and popular classics.

Taylor has written Top 40 hits recorded by his brother, James Taylor, and has appeared with Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Fleetwood Mac, and Jimmy Buffet. He is equally at home with a range of musical genres – folk, pop, gospel, jazz – and from upbeat storytelling and touching ballads to full orchestra performances.

In addition to his performance schedule, Taylor has been a full professor at Berklee College of Music for 30 years, passing on the extensive knowledge gained from his long career on the road to the next generation of musicians.
Tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $45 per person or $40 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $55 at the door on the night of the show (if available). All seating is general admission.
Beer, wine, and canned cocktails will be available for purchase at the theatre before and during the show. The theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.
