Food Truck Festival Planned In Newtown

This is seriously amazing news: the first-ever Newtown Food Truck Fest will be held June 18 at Council Rock North.

We have some awesome news for food lovers in Newtown. Plans are in the works for the first-ever Newtown Food Truck Fest, which will be held Father's Day — Sunday, June 18 at Council Rock North High School. Organizers say there will be a "wide variety" of food trucks serving up delicious fare at the first-ever event.

The Newtown Food Truck Fest, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., is a fundraiser for the non-profit Newtown Theatre. So far, there are 10 confirmed food trucks attending. That list could expand as the event gets closer.

  • Blend Life: Smoothies, hummus, grilled sandwiches and more
  • Cow and the Curd: Beer-battered Wisconsin cheese curds
  • Dump-n-Roll: Dumplings and spring rolls
  • Foolish Waffles: Made-to-order sweet and savory waffles
  • Good Food = Good Mood: Burgers, fries, truffle chips and more
  • Nina’s Waffles and Ice Cream
  • Nomad Pizza: Fresh, local and organic wood-fired pizza
  • Phyllodelphia: Traditional Greek and Mediterranean food
  • Pie Stand: Pan-fried “handpies” stuffed with a variety of fillings
  • Sweet Box: Unique cupcakes and desserts

There is a suggested donation of $10 for parking. All proceeds will benefit the theatre, which is the nation’s oldest continuously operating movie theatre.

In addition to the food trucks, festival attendees can expect to enjoy music and family activities. Bring your own blankets or chairs.
