Foster Announces Bid For Council Rock School Board
The neuroscience PhD and former Peace Corps volunteer is a 4-year incumbent to the position.

The future of the Council Rock School Board is beginning to round into shape.
Bill Foster, a pharmaceutical researcher and former Peace Corps volunteer, recently announced his intention to run again for the seat he currently holds in Region 1.
Foster will run unopposed.

“The long term success of Council Rock is very important,” Foster said. “That success rests on careful financial planning, hiring talented professionals, and driving affordable innovation.”
Foster’s credentials include a PhD in neuroscience research and a Masters in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Originally elected in 2011, Foster has served as the Finance Chair on the board for the last two years. He cites his most important achievement as working to create a financially sustainable plan integrating bond refinancing, construction, real estate taxes, cash flow, and tax collection simplification.
Foster will appear as both a Democratic and Republican candidate.
The political tracking website Ballotpedia says that another member of the board has already been established. Edward Tate is running unopposed in Region 2.
Incumbent Wendi Thomas will face Richard Wilkinson in the Region 4 race, while incumbent Jerold Grupp will face Leslie Rothberg in Region 5.
Michelle Held and Michael Thorwart will battle for the Region 7 spot, according to the site.
