A foundation has been started in memory of a young Bucks County couple who was tragically killed in a double homicide in May.
The foundation is in honor of Tyler Roy, 28, and Christina Celenza Roy, 27, who were found deceased on May 1 at their home on Kitty Knight Drive in the Churchville section of Northampton Township. Authorities say 26-year-old Daniel Mooney, whose parents lived in the neighborhood, stabbed and shot the couple. Mooney was found dead in Philadelphia's Kensington section of a suspected drug overdose the day after the couple's murder, authorities said.
Since the Roys were devoted to their family, and had plans to start their own, The Christina and Tyler Roy Foundation is a nonprofit organization that will assist families in times of need, the organization announced this month.

The foundation, launched by the couple's family, announced the mission in a heartfelt social media post on July 1 — exactly two months after their deaths.
"Two months ago our world stopped. The news of Christina and Tyler’s deaths still feel unreal, like it must be a mistake or terrible nightmare. The concepts of “moving on” and “being strong” have been mentioned by friends and family as they struggle to help us all cope with this tragedy. Moving forward on this journey will be difficult and messy. There is no easy way to navigate this terrible road we are on. However, as days go on and we learn to live with our painful new reality, we focus on ways to honor Christina and Tyler’s memories in every way we possibly can."

The foundation's mission statement is as follows:
"Guided by Christina and Tyler's love of family and desire for children of their own, our non-profit organization assists families in times of need. While remaining flexible in our approach, we raise money to support charities focused on providing comfort, relief, and security for children and their families."
