Free “Music On The Street” Concert Series Coming To Newtown

This year's music series is presented by the Newtown Theatre and the Newtown Experience Committee.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Free music is returning to the streets of historic Newtown Borough in July and August this summer.

The Newtown Theatre is teaming up with the Newtown Experience Committee to present “Music on the Street” with an eclectic series of eight free outdoor concerts.

The concerts will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on the short stretch of Greene Street between State Street and the creek (next to the Newtown Bicycle Shop, 30 North State Street).

This year’s summer lineup includes:

  • The Triplets playing eclectic classic rock and more on July 11
  • Matt Dorsey playing original music on July 18
  • Keith Chasin playing pop jazz on July 25
  • Faraway Guys playing classic rock, blues, and alternative on August 1
  • Brad Hinton playing acoustical songs of heartbreak and hope on August 8
  • RSVP Brass Quintet playing traditional and exotic brass tunes on August 15
  • Dockside playing classic rock on August 22
  • Meg Russell playing original music and singer/songwriter classics on August 29
