July 16

  • At approximately 10 a.m. police were dispatched to the Learning Express for the report of attempted retail theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

  • At approximately 1:45 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a white KIA Sportage operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Richboro Road. Upon speaking with the operator, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

July 18

  • At approximately 7:45 a.m. police responded to a business located in Wrightstown Township for the report of a catalytic converter theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • Around 9 a.m. police received the report of a counterfeit currency incident that occurred in Newtown Township over the weekend. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
  • At approximately 4 p.m. police responded to Acme Market for the report of attempted retail theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

  • At approximately 8:30 p.m. police were dispatched for the report of a theft from a residence in Newtown Township. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

July 21

  • At approximately 1 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a gray Honda Accord operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road area. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
