GNEC and other Community Organizations Deliver Holiday Joy to children
On December 3rd, The Greater Newtown Exchange Club and other organizations brought Breakfast With Santa to deserving children

On Saturday morning, December 3rd, 90 deserving children brought their appetites and their Christmas wishes to the Washington Crossing Inn for the annual Breakfast with Santa event. This year’s event was funded and/or hosted by volunteers from The Greater Newtown Exchange Club, The Newtown Rotary Club, The Newtown Lions Club, The Knights of Pythias, The Newtown Presbyterian Church, The Upper Makefield Business Assn., and Council Rock School Social Workers and Nurses. Breakfast for the children and 40 accompanying adults was graciously provided by the Washington Crossing Inn.
The children were anxiously waiting for was the thrilling arrival of Santa, on a siren-blaring Upper Makefield Fire Department engine. Once Santa arrived, each child was treated to a session on the Jolly Elf’s lap and a gaily-wrapped Christmas present. The presents were donated by the above community organizations and wrapped by age and gender so that each child received something they could call their own.
The Greater Newtown Exchange Club is a Bucks County service club dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and family services.
