GNEC presents "April is a Time to Celebrate Women"

Join Jane Swartz and The Greater Newtown Exchange Club on Apr 21 from 6 to 8 pm at the Stocking Works at 301 S State St for this event

This event is to raise awareness for the needs of "A Woman's Place". April is Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Please fill a Re-Useable shopping bag or bags with any of the items below and then just drop them off, it is that simple:

Gift Certificates/Gift Cards: Supermarket, K-Mart, Sears, Target, Walmart, drug store, gas cards, movie theater

Household Products: Laundry and dish soap, fabric softener, trash bags, household cleaners, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, brooms, mops, light bulbs, 30 gallon clear storage tubs with lids

Personal Products: Hair and skin products, feminine hygiene products, hand sanitizer, razors, deodorant, full size shampoo, full size conditioner, full size body wash, baby wipes, diapers (sizes 4, 5 and 6), baby powder, baby wash/shampoo, New pillows, Cold/flu/allergy medications, Tylenol, Advil, antacids, vitamins, children’s medications, children’s ear thermometers

Foods: Juice boxes, school snacks, canned goods, fresh produce

Clothing: Larger women’s clothing, new women’s sweat suits, underwear, socks, pajamas (all sizes), clothing (all sizes), children’s underwear

Children's Program Needs: Crayons, markers, coloring books

Lite fare and refreshments will be available. A staff member from “A Woman’s Place” will be joining us for conversation. Drop in or drop off your bag to encourage the families.
