GOP Vice Presidential Nominee JD Vance To Campaign In Bucks

The Ohio Senator is scheduled to attend a public rally this weekend at the Newtown Sports Training and Events Center in Newtown.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Republican vice presidential nominee, Senator J.D. Vance, is scheduled to attend a campaign rally in Bucks County on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Newtown Sports Training and Event Center at 120 Pheasant Road.

The rally is set to start at 5:15 p.m. with doors opening at 2:15 p.m. Members of the public who are interested in attending should click here to register.

With polls showing a neck-and-neck race for President in battleground Pennsylvania, expect a lot more attention between now and Election Day from the Presidential campaigns as they fight to win the Commonwealth's 19 electoral votes.

Last weekend the Harris-Walz campaign brought its message to the Lehigh Valley where former Minnesota Governor and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz led a rally at Freedom High School in Bethlehem. This weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, will be campaigning in Arizona and Nevada after making a campaign stop in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Senator Vance will be coming to Newtown from a campaign stop in Georgia while former President Donald Trump stomps through the upper Midwest with campaign stops scheduled in Walker and Warren, Michigan, and Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

Road Closures

In advance of the rally, the Newtown Township Police Department has announced the following road closures on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 to 6 p.m.:

  • Penns Trail - Between the Newtown Bypass and Friends Lane
  • Pheasant Run - Between Penns Trail and Terry Drive

"During this period, please use alternate routes to reach your destinations and expect traffic delays in the area," police said. Local access to businesses will be allowed.
