Newtown Historic Association To Explore American Revolution During November Meeting
The theme of the November meeting of the Newtown Historic Association is "Grand Forage 1778: The Revolutionary War's Forgotten Campaign."

The November meeting of the Newtown Historic Association will be a “Grand Forage 1778: The Revolutionary War’s Forgotten Campaign” to be held Monday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. It will be presented by author Todd Braisted.
Braisted is a past president of the Bergen County Historical Society. He has authored over 40 journal articles and books on the American Revolution as well as appearing as a guest historian on such shows as PBS’s History Detectives and the CBC’s Who Do You Think You Are?
1778 marked a crucial period in the American Revolution. The French entry into the war forced the British to completely alter their strategy, having to both put down a rebellion and engage their traditional European rival. Grand Forage 1778 will examine the events surrounding this chaotic yet little studied period of the American Revolution.
