Group Reportedly Claims Santarsiero And DCCC Violated Polictical Advertisement Rules

FEC complaint alleges Santarsiero and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee violated campaign finance rules, according to reports.

Steve Santarsiero, Democratic Congressional candidate, along with the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), have been accused of violating campaign finance rules by leaving out specific elements in campaign ads, according to reports.

The Bucks County Intelligencer and Politico report the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) has filed a complaint with the Federal Elections Committee alleging Santarsiero and the DCCC used a loophole from a 2006 ruling that allows spending for "hybrid ads" to surpass the FEC's political ad spending limit.

FACT has also accused at least 10 other Democractic candidates of using the loophole, according to Politico.

According to the Intelligencer, ads that mention local candidates by and refer to the party in general can have the cost to run the ad split.

FACT claims Santarsiero's ad does not meet those standardsbecause it mentions Trump specifically and does not reference the Democratic nor Republican party in general terms, the Intelligencer reports.
