Halloween Festivities, Apple Competition At This Saturday's Wrightstown Farmers Market

​The Wrightstown Farmers Market will host a Halloween Boo-Nanza and apple competition at this Saturday's market.

The Wrightstown Farmers Market will host a Halloween Boo-Nanza and apple competition at this Saturday's market. The market will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 2203 Second Street Pike in Wrightstown.

The apple tasting competition will feature the chance to try more than a dozen local apple varieties and apple products from Solebury Orchards.

Festivities, sponsored by Organnons Natural Market, will also include live music, make-your-own caramel apples, Halloween lantern making, face painting and a scary bones and skulls exhibit for kids. The event is sponsored by Organnons Natural Market.

Each Saturday from May through November, the Wrightstown Farmers Market hosts more than 30 local vendors who grow or produce their own products. The market specializes in local vegetables grown using organic practices and without genetic engineering and in meats and dairy products from animals grown locally in fresh air and sunshine on fertile pastures and without antibiotics, hormones or genetic engineering.

A winter market runs from December through April on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Vendors will move indoors on Dec. 11. Winter market hours will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
