Harvest Hosting 5-Course Rosé ​Wine Dinner At Newtown Location

If you love rosé, or love someone who loves rosé, then here's an event you might want to know about: Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar will host a five-course rosé wine dinner on August 23.

The celebration, which features five farm-to-table dishes all paired with a different rosé wines, costs $59 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required.

  • The experience begins with a cucumber and melon carpaccio, paired with Escudo Real, Vinho Verde (Minho, Portugal).
  • For the second course, wine lovers will enjoy Charles Smith "Band of Roses" Pinot Gris (Washington) paired with orange blossom tea poached lobster tail.
  • The third course features a wood-grilled pork tenderloin paired with Portea Mourvedre/Shiraz (Coastal Region, South Africa).
  • The main entrée is a pan-seared wild coho salmon paired with M. Chapoutier "Belleruche" Grenache/Syrah (Côtes du Rhône, France).
  • For dessert, there will be sweet corn gelato paired with Segura Viudas’ Cava Brut Rosé (Catalonia, Spain).
  • The vegetarian menu features the same first course and dessert, as well as all five of the same wines, however, the second, third and fourth courses will be replaced with orange blossom tea smoked tofu; wood-grilled BBQ tempeh 'ribs'; and pan-fried crisp eggplant.

"Rosé wine keeps getting more and more popular every year," said Dave Magrogan. "Our guests continue to order it regularly, and after we hosted a similar five-course dinner last year with great success, we knew we had to bring it back."
