The National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook says periods of heavy rain on Monday could result in flooding in areas of poor drainage. Also, a wind advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. Monday morning to 7 p.m that evening.

The storm could bring one to two inches of rain by Tuesday night, AccuWeather predicts.

"The rain, combined with areas of low clouds and fog, could lead to delays on the road and in the air to start the workweek," AccuWeather said in a release about the storm.

Once the storm passes, a period of warmth will descend upon the region. High temperatures in the mid-50s are expected across the Philadelphia area.

But that won't last long. "A new wave of cold air will abruptly end the mild spell late this week," AcccuWeather said.
