Heart Sightings Inspire Local Woman to Launch Stationary Line

Three years ago, Mindy Popescu began seeing hearts everywhere—in the snow, while making pasta, in shadows and clouds.

She began taking photos of them. Hundreds of hearts later, she met with a medium who told her that her father, and best friend, was sending the hearts from heaven.

“These hearts have changed my life,” she said, adding they’ve helped her get through each day without her father around.

So much so, she wants to share them with others. She recently started making cards inspired by the images. She calls the line “Hearts From Heaven by 5ives” (Popescu’s maiden name is Fives.)

The cards are available at three local stores—Organnons, Carousel Boutique and the Newtown Bookshop.

“I actually got the idea to make cards out of them after I started framing and displaying them in my house,” Popescu said. “I started making cards for friends and family and they were the ones who encouraged me to go a step further.”

Currently the cards sold on the shelves have about 10 different images.  There is a sign displayed to tell the story behind Hearts From Heaven by 5ives.
