'Highly Intoxicated' Hospital Escapee Prompts 90-Minute Rescue Effort
A 29-year-old Yardley man left St. Mary's in his hospital gown and jumped into Lake Luxembourg, prompting a 90-minute rescue effort Saturday

A “highly intoxicated” Yardley man escaped from the emergency room at St. Mary Medical Center Saturday, prompting a 90-minute rescue effort by dozens of local emergency responders, reports say.
The Bucks County Courier Times reports that Gregory Morten, 29, will be cited for public intoxication and park ordinance violations following the afternoon fiasco.
Morten was at the emergency room being treated for intoxication and trauma when he walked out in his hospital gown and jumped into Lake Luxembourg at Core Creek Park around 2:30 p.m., the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

The jump prompted a rescue effort that Morten made more difficult by evading those trying to help him, the Courier Times said.
He was finally captured at about 4:15 p.m. He was handcuffed, sedated and transported back to St. Mary Medical Center, the Inquirer said.
