Homesense, 'HomeGoods On Steroids,' Opens In Bucks Co. Next Week

Prepare your wallets: Homesense, described as HomeGoods on steroids, opens its first Bucks County location on Oct. 18.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — If you're the type of person that leaves HomeGoods with $100 worth of gadgets and do-dads that you never knew existed on this Earth but just couldn't leave behind, then prepare your wallets for next week.

On Oct. 18, Homesense, a furniture and home decor store operating under the umbrella of TJX Companies, will open its first Bucks County location. The store, which has been described as "HomeGoods on steroids," will be located in Langhorne's Lincoln Plaza, at the spot that formerly housed H.H. Gregg, next to Men's Warehouse and near its sister store.

It will be the third TJX Companies store in the plaza, which also houses a T.J. Maxx in addition to the HomeGoods. Store hours on opening day are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Regular hours will be Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Langhorne store is one of two Homesense stores opening in Pennsylvania on the same day. There's also a location opening in Exton, at Fairfield Place Shopping Center.

Homesense recently launched in the United States. So far, there are just a handful of locations in a few states, including New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Maryland.

So what makes Homesense different than HomeGoods?

Good question. It's one that Cosmopolitan magazine, in a 2017 article, aimed to answer. The conclusion: Homesense is basically HomeGoods on steroids.

Cosmopolitan reports they have a huge furniture section, as well as an area called "the general store," which offers everything from bath tubs to wallpaper, doorknobs, and fabrics. The lighting section is larger, and they have a full section for books, the publication reported.
