Hortulus Farm Presenting Family Festival, Summer Market
The Wrightstown nursery and store will welcome families to shop and enjoy the festivities on June 24 and 25.

WRIGHTSTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Hortulus will hold its first Family Festival and its second Summer Handmade Market on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25
Last year's Summer Market was an incredible success, relays the farm's executive directors, Jon and Ariel Kontz, bringing together members of the community to support Bucks County’s talented artisans. The overwhelming response and the joy it brought to the farm, inspired Jon and Ariel to expand and enhance the event this year.
“We have designed this Handmade Market and Festival with families in mind, offering more opportunities for everyone to enjoy the best of our farm, nature, and community,” said Jon. “We’ve curated an extraordinary lineup of 50+ local artisans who will showcase their exceptional craftsmanship,” he added.

The Hortulus Family Festival aims to create unforgettable memories for all ages, according to Jon and Ariel.
The Hortulus team has planned a plethora of yard games and fun activities that will entertain the entire family. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in friendly competitions, bond over shared laughter, and revel in the joy of being together in a picturesque outdoor setting. From classic favorites to exciting new games, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
"We were overwhelmed by the incredible response we received during last year's Summer Makers Market, and it inspired us to make this year's event even more memorable," said Ariel.
"We wanted to provide families with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in nature, experience the talents of local artisans, and create cherished memories together," she adds. "The Hortulus Family Festival is our way of extending our warmest invitation to the community to join us for a weekend filled with joy, creativity, and togetherness."
Fairy Hollow: Where Dreams Come To Life
In addition to traditional yard games, Hortulus will open Fairy Hollow, a place where children of all ages can paint and create their very own miniature fairy garden. Guests can immerse themselves in the magic of Fairy Hollow as they design and personalize their own tiny haven for these mystical creatures. Guests won’t want to miss the special Fairy story hour, held on both Saturday and Sunday at noon at the steps entering Fairy Hollow, where captivating tales of fairies and their adventures will transport children into a world of imagination and wonder.
"We wanted to create a space that sparks the imagination of children and adults alike. Fairy Hollow is a place where dreams come to life, where little hands can create their own magical worlds," said Dana Dore, Creative Director of Hortulus. "We invite families to join us in this whimsical journey and witness the joy and creativity that Fairy Hollow will bring to our festival."
As a special preview of the much-anticipated upcoming Children’s Botanical Play Garden, the farm will introduce a boat launch experience during the festival weekend.
In the Boulder Cascade and Aquaplay area, children can unleash their creativity by painting their very own wooden boat and watch it sail down the cascading waters.
"Few things are as developmentally motivating as waterplay," said Ariel. "We are excited to see the joy on children's faces as their boats cruise down the cascade, igniting their imagination and sense of adventure.
"We wanted to provide a sneak peek of the magic that awaits at our upcoming Botanical Play Garden. The boat launch experience is just the beginning of the wonders that children will encounter as they explore and engage with nature," she added.
Younger attendees will also have a delightful time at the Bubble station.
Guests can watch as bubbles of all sizes fill the air, creating a magical atmosphere that will bring smiles to the faces of our youngest festival-goers.
Guests can enjoy the rhythm of live music as Hortulus presents performances on both days of the festival. On Saturday, Manouche5, a Philadelphia-based five-piece jazz group, will perform their unique blend of traditional gypsy jazz with modern influences from 12 to 3 p.m. On Sunday, Hortulus favorites, the Ocean Avenue Stompers, a dynamic brass band based out of Asbury Park, New Jersey, will return from 12 to 3 p.m. Their infectious energy and vibrant sound will have guests tapping their feet and dancing along.
Additionally, the Hortulus Garden Shop will be brimming with the perfect selection of annuals and perennial plant offerings carefully handpicked by the creative and landscape design team at Hortulus Farm. Guests can also discover an array of beautiful home and garden goods that will add a touch of elegance to both home and garden surroundings. In collaboration with Liza Miller LTD, Hortulus is thrilled to continue to showcase European-imported furniture and antiques, bringing a timeless charm for a delightful shopping experience.
