Fire Destroys House In Wrightstown, No Injuries Reported

Crews battled a house fire in Wrightstown, which shut down Mud Road.

WRIGHTSTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA— Crews worked for several hours Saturday to battle a house fire on Mud Road in Wrightstown. The road was closed from 5:30 p.m. through midnight as firefighters used more than 70,000 gallons of water to put out the blaze.

No injuries were reported, according to police.

Firefighters from Lingohocken, Newtown, Upper Makefield responded to the scene.

Crews established a water supply at a nearby pond to fill tankers. More 70,000 gallons of water were needed to put out the blaze, the Upper Makefield Volunteer Fire Company reported.

The cause of the blaze was not yet disclosed by officials. Patch has reached out to authorities for information, check back for updates.
