Ice Cold Beer Gets Teen Busted: Newtown Police Activity

Plus, police say they found a suspected meth pipe on July 4.

At approximately 12 am, an officer stopped a motorist on the Newtown Bypass because the vehicle was displaying an expired registration. While speaking to the driver, identified as 18-year-old Conner Brunetti of Lincoln Avenue, the officer observed an open case of beer in plain view within the back seat. Upon searching the vehicle, the officer found ice cold Miller Lite and warm Natural Light beer within the center console. The beer was seized; Brunetti will receive citations for possession of alcoholic beverage while under the legal age limit.

Around 7:35 p.m., an officer stopped a car on Richboro Road due to a vehicle code violation. As the officer was speaking with the driver, he was given permission to search the vehicle. During the search, the officer recovered a glass smoking pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue. Police determined the paraphernalia belonged to the passenger, Carrie Miller, 34, of Northampton. The pipe was seized and will be submitted to Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis. Miller was released at the scene and will be charged by summons. The driver, Joshua Widerman, 30, of Northampton, will receive a traffic citation charging him with the window tint violation.

While on patrol, an officer observed a motorist disregard a steady red traffic signal on the Newtown Bypass and make a left turn onto Richboro Road around 11:30 pm. The officer stopped the vehicle on Richboro Road. As the officer approached the vehicle, he observed the four occupants of the vehicle crouching down and moving around within the vehicle. While speaking with the driver, Kody Lupfer, 19, of Feasterville, the officer formed the opinion that he had operated his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and that he was incapable of safe driving. Lupfer was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center, where he consented to have blood drawn that will be submitted to the Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis. Lupfer was transported back to the traffic stop and was released, pending charges of DUI. While the officer was conducting the investigation with Lupfer, another officer made contact with the three passengers in the vehicle. Allison Malazita, 18, of East Norriton; [Name Withheld], 19, of Sewell, NJ; and Casey Diferdinado, 18, of Langhorne will be issued non-traffic citations charging them with underage drinking and possession of alcohol. All four occupants were released to a family member.

July 5

At approximately 3:25 am, Andrew Naddeo, 25, of Yardley was stopped for traffic offenses and was arrested for DUI and possession/paraphernalia. Naddeo was taken to Saint Mary Medical Center where blood was drawn. The blood/drug evidence will be submitted to the Bucks County Crime Lab for analysis. Naddeo was released and charges are pending the results of the lab work.
