Inaugural Holiday Cocktail Trail To Benefit Historic Newtown Theatre

NEWTOWN, PA — Get into the holiday “spirits” at the inaugural Newtown Holiday Cocktail Trail on Saturday, November 18 from 12 to 5 p.m.

During this event, ticket holders will enjoy sample-size holiday cocktails at more than a dozen Newtown Borough shops, where they can find the perfect gifts for everyone on their holiday shopping list.

The trail will begin at the Temperance House, 5 South State Street, where ticketholders will pick up their glasses and a trail “passport.” The passport will list each stop on the trail and any promotions the shops are offering that day. Passports will also highlight Borough restaurants, which participants are encouraged to patronize while traversing the trail.

Cocktail recipes will be available to all ticketholders and participants can vote for their favorite at the end of the day. One of the merchants will win bragging rights and all voters will be entered into a raffle to win a special prize from the Newtown Theatre.

Opus Elite Real Estate is the presenting sponsor of this event and all proceeds will support phase II renovations at the historic Newtown Theatre.

“We hope the Holiday Cocktail Trail will become a Newtown tradition, serving not only as a theatre fundraiser but also encouraging people to shop and eat locally,” said Andrew Smith, executive director of the Newtown Theatre. “All money raised from this event will support the renovation of the theatre’s balcony and restrooms, scheduled for summer 2024.”

A limited number of tickets are available at TheNewtownTheatre.com for $45 per person. All participants must be 21+ to purchase tickets and participate in the trail.
