Inaugural Homecoming Day Announced By Bucks County Community College

BCCC alumni, students and their families are invited for a fun-filled day and night of special activities at the Newtown campus.

NEWTOWN, PA — A first of its kind “Homecoming Day” (and night) celebrating students and alumni will be held on Saturday, April 29 at the Bucks County Community College in Newtown.

From morning through the evening, the celebratory, fun-filled day will be loaded with complimentary activities for Bucks County Community College Alumni and students.

The host of offerings will feature several different free and ticketed events, including a Tyler Garden Lecture, the Golden Centurion 50th Reunion Brunch, athletics games, family-friendly activities, a Wordsmiths Reading Series featuring Bucks alumnae (Carly Volpe, J. Eliza Wall, Lauren McClung), an Alumni Beer Garden, a comedy show with comedian Jasmine Ellis, and more! The event will conclude with a grand finale of a fireworks display!

All BCCC guests are encouraged to bring their families and blankets to “camp out.” Parking is free.

“Bucks County Community College’s Alumni Association is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year," said Executive Director Christina Kahmar McGinley. "The Alumni Association strives to engage alumni in a lifelong connection with Bucks, and works collaboratively with the Foundation to support current students with scholarships and mentorship. We were encouraged to host this first of a kind event for our special BCCC community to commemorate the 40th anniversary with a fun-filled day of events for alumni and students on our Newtown campus!”
