Jason Stout is Troop 29's Newest Eagle Scout

Troop 29’s Jason Stout recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout. As part of the requirements for advancement to the highest rank in scouting, Jason completed an Eagle Scout Service Project to benefit the Aark Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center.

The project was the construction of a 4 x 4’ possum box which can be used to house possums or screech owls during their rehabilitation at the center in Chalfont. Jason and his team of volunteers spent over 80 man-hours in the designing, construction and painting the box to the organization’s specifications before they delivered it to them in time for the busy spring season. Home Depot in Warrington donated $150 in materials to make the project possible.

Jason has served Troop 29 as Troop Scribe and Assistant Patrol Leader. He is a brotherhood member of Order of the Arrow Ajapeu Lodge 2. Highlights of his scouting career include camping trips that included whitewater rafting, hiking the Appalachian Trail, canoeing, and biking. He participated in the West Point Scoutmasters’ Council Camporee on three occasions as well as trips to the United States Naval Academy and the United States Coast Guard Training Facility. He also took a 120 trek at Philmont Scout Reservation with his troop in 2016.

The son of Gisele and Jeff Stout of Wycombe, Jason is a sophomore at Council Rock High School North.
