Kids' Summer Movie Series Planned At Newtown Theatre

The Newtown Theatre is gearing up for its a kids' movie series this summer.

Starting Tuesday mornings in July, the theatre will be screening family-friendly movies at 10 a.m. The series kicks off with "The Peanuts Movie" on July 12. Other titles include "Home" and "Minions."

Here’s the lineup:

“The Peanuts Movie” – Tuesday, July 12
“Minions” – Tuesday, July 19
“Spongebob: Sponge Out of Water” – Tuesday, Aug. 2
“Home” – Tuesday, August 9
“Goosebumps” – Tuesday, August 16

The theatre is currently seeking sponsors to underwrite each movie in the series or the entire series.
