La Stalla Italian Market Opening Soon On Sycamore Street

La Stalla — the popular family-style Italian restaurant in Newtown — is hoping for an early February opening for its new Italian market on Sycamore Street.

"We are so excited to finally complete the project," owners tell Patch.

The market will be located in the standalone building in the Promenade shopping center.

The shop will carry Italian pastries, prepared foods for takeout, Italian breads, imported meats and cheeses, homemade meatballs and sausage, and a full line of Italian specialty grocery items.

"We also plan on doing catering and wine and cheese events at people's homes and businesses. And I'm sure we will be expanding those ideas based on customer requests and feedback," owner Marc Masso told Patch when the project was announced.

The Promenade, located on Sycamore Street, is the shopping center that also houses Anthropologie.
