Letter To The Editor: Zlock For Newtown Judge

Are the “horse and buggy” days back again? I certainly hope not. In the “horse and buggy” days any well liked man could become district judge and do a respectable job of it. But today the world is more complex. Just as the motor car has replaced that antique method of transportation so have the needs of the office of district judge.

Basic requirements for the person holding that position have not changed for decades but society has now come to realize that they will be better served if they elect a person trained in the law.

Fortunately for the electorate in this May 19 primary 4 of the 5 candidates are attorneys.

Obviously, I am prejudiced. But I know my son. Candidate Mark Zlock. He is everything you could want in a district judge. Educated in the law, experienced in the law, committed to our community, dedicated to base his decisions as district judge on the merits of each case.

I ask that you, Republican or Democrat voter, add your vote to mine to make Mark your personal choice of District Judge.
