"The Lion King" Heading To Newtown Theatre
The live action version of the classic Disney movie is arriving at the Newtown Theatre this weekend for 5 showings.
The Lion King, The new live-action version of the beloved Disney classic will be showing this weekend at the Newtown Theatre for one weekend only. The movie stars Donald Glover, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner and more.
The showtimes are:
Friday August 30th- 7:30 PM (OPENING NIGHT)

Synopsis: Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny on the plains of Africa. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. Scar, Mufasa's brother -- and former heir to the throne -- has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. Now, with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students, $7 for children and $5 for Newtown Theatre members.
