Local Postal Worker Arrested For Stealing Cash, Gifts Cards From Mail: Police
A Washington Crossing postal worker has been arrested for stealing cash and gift cards from the mail, police announced Friday.

A Washington Crossing postal worker has been arrested for stealing cash and gift cards from the mail, Upper Makefield Township Police announced Friday. Stacy Lee Riggins, 50, of Philadelphia was arrested on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
Police and the US Post Office Inspector General's office said they launched the investigation after receiving "numerous" complaints about undelivered cash and gift cards being mailed through the Washington Crossing Post Office.
Riggins, a sales services distribution associate at the Washington Crossing Post Office, was in possession of numerous stolen gift cards at the time of her arrest, police said. The total amount of cash and gift cards allegedly stolen by Riggins was not released by police.

Riggins was arraigned before Magisterial District Justice Michael Petrucci and released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 8.
