NEWTOWN/DOYLESTOWN/HOLLAND - A group of young art students from Newtown and Holland currently have their art on display at Doylestown Hospital’s ArtWalk. The students, age 8 to 18, work in various fine art mediums including pencil, pastel, acrylic, watercolor, and oil painting. Participating students are Camryn Blauth, Kayleigh Burke, Erin Casey, Anthony Kelly, Olivia Kelly, Addison Kohler, Anna Lee, Grace Porter, Sarah Porter, Nolan Riesenberger, Abby Steadman, Erin Stone, Katie Sukunda, Anna Williamson, and Sarah Williamson. Their art will be on display through early March.
Doylestown Hospital’s ArtWalk is a passageway that connects the hospital’s parking garage to the main building. The exhibit area provides an artistic experience like one might have at any of Bucks Counties many wonderful art galleries and is part of the hospital’s commitment to provide a responsive, healing environment for patients and their families. There is no doubt that art has healing powers and provides a pleasant distraction for those visiting or using the hospital. The ArtWalk is well lit and has benches built in for those who need to rest a while. The hospital welcomes visitors to the ArtWalk, which is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. People who wish to visit the ArtWalk can take the parking garage elevator or the north elevator near the gift shop to the ground level.
