Up until a month ago, this building at Sycamore and Jefferson was looking kind of shabby with peeling paint and a rundown look.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A building at 159 North Sycamore Street is sporting a fresh new look after years of neglectful maintenance.

The new owners - Sails Up 159 LLC - have given the building at the highly visible intersection of Sycamore and Jefferson a fresh new coat of paint - its first since 2016.

The township has also granted the new owners a certificate of appropriateness to paint its doors Buckstone blue in keeping with the township's historic district which encompasses much of Sycamore Street.
