Warrant Arrest, Fraud Cases And Thefts: Newtown Township Police Report
Police investigating stolen identity case; theft reported by BCCC student; and stolen banking information, Social Security number.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between April 15 and April 19:
Saturday, April 15
- At approximately 8:45 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on an Audi Q5 operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and State Street. As a result of the investigation, a man was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transported without incident.
- At approximately 10 a.m. a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report a fraud involving the theft of his banking information, debit card, and social security card. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Tuesday, April 18

- At approximately 5 p.m. police received the report of a theft from a Bucks County Community College student. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
Wednesday, April 19
- A Newtown Township resident stopped at police headquarters around 1 p.m. to report a fraud involving a stolen identity and $11,000 furniture purchase. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
