Man Hid $1K Worth Of Sunglasses In Baby Car Seats: Newtown Twp Police

NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown Township Police are seeking a man who they say stole $1,000 worth of sunglasses by concealing them in two baby car seats at Design for Vision.

According to police, the incident happened Wednesday. The man (pictured below) came into the store carrying two car seats with babies inside. He tried on sunglasses for a half hour, then left without paying for anything.

Shortly after, employees realized that several pairs of sunglasses worth approximately $1,000 were missing, police said.

Video retrieved from the scene shows the suspect concealed the sunglasses in his pocket and in the car seats.
