A community session to discuss the potential closure of Wrightstown Elementary School will be held on Monday, Feb. 13 at the Wrightstown Village Library. The meeting, organized by local residents, begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

The Council Rock School Board, as part of its capital planning process, is considering closing Wrightstown Elementary School.

Monday's community meeting will cover questions surrounding the potential closing, including where students would go, class sizes and property values.

An ad-hoc committee was formed by the district to deliberate on the capital planning options, which also include K-12 redistricting and the repurposing of non-school facilities.

The ad-hoc committee held its first meeting last week; four more public meetings are planned by that committee.

Decisions on school closures and redistricting will be geared toward implementation in the 2018-19 school year, the district has said.
